On both sides, the stickers must be placed on the front section, at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 metres measured from the ground. On the rear of the truck or tractor, the sticker must be placed on the right side. Here too, the sticker must be placed at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 metres from the ground. Trailers and semi-trailers Stickers must also be applied to trailers and semi-trailers. On the rear, the sticker must be applied to the right-hand side at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 metres, just as on trucks and tractors. In addition, the stickers must also be applied to each side. On the bodywork, this must be done within the first metre (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 metres). For semi-trailers, the stickers must be applied to both sides within the first metre behind the coupling plate (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 metres). Exceptions There are a number of exceptions to the rule. This applies to vehicles where it is technically impossible to affix the stickers to the prescribed places on the vehicle. In this case, the stickers must be affixed to the nearest possible height, as long as it is within the limit of 2.10 metres. Some examples of vehicles where the stickers may be placed in other places are car transporters, tractors for trailers, container chassis, flatbed vehicles, tank vehicles, adjustable arms for tipper trucks and dollies. On these vehicles it is not possible to place the markings on the rear of the vehicle, therefore the sticker may be placed in a place that is compatible with the characteristics of the vehicle. Vehicles where it is structurally impossible to apply the stickers to the sides and/or rear are exempt from the blind spot sticker scheme. These warning stickers are made of a monomer material that is finished with an extra gloss laminate. Due to the extra laminate layer, the stickers are extra scratch and weather resistant and therefore suitable for outdoor use on vehicles.
